Text Box: GLOBAL CITIZENSHIP!
World Children holding the gobe Children surrounding the world Text Box: As citizens, we are part of the society around us, whether it's in school, in the local community or in the wider world. We can all help to improve things and make life better !.

People believe that global citizenship means fairness in how we treat each other, including in trade. But I don’t think that trade is fair. Many sellers .e.g. farmers, fisherman  don’t get the money they should get for their produce. Because they can’t  say no to the buyers  they have to agree on the money the large buyers

offer them. Sometimes it is too little for the work they have done and they have to live in intolerable conditions just to survive. This isn’t fair!

To me no trade means no money and no money means no food or drink. No food- no people, no people- no world !

Is all trade fair ?

Fair Trade

  What we have learnt

We have learned a lot about global  citizenship in the last few weeks. We have found out that some famous name brands .e.g. sports brands, are being made in some cases by children as young as

ourselves !  They only get a small amount a day! This is unfair child labour!
