How to make it:
Ingredients
1kg amatumba (Ox tripe / intestines)
2 cups of water
1 tsp salt
1 tsp meat tenderiser
1 large onion
2 large potatoes
2 carrots
Method
First, put the amathumba into a large pot
Pour on two cups of boiling water
Boil it all up
Grate the onions, and add them to the pot
Add the salt
Add the meat tenderiser
Boil for two hours
Add the peeled and diced potatoes and carrots
Cook for a further half an hour
