MY JOURNEY FROM SOUTH AFRICA TO THE UNITED KINGDOM
HOW I WAS SELECTED
They chose six learners and said that they were the top six.
We went everyday to school so that we could hear who were
the three learners who were going to London. After few days
our e-lapa advisor came and told us who were the three learners
and the teachers. My name was the last one to be called and
I was so happy because I have been never over seas and I never
thought being in London. At the beginning it was very hard
because we had to write our exams in the morning and we had
to go to the computer room we will be sited for hours working
on our assessments because everyone wanted to be chosen to
go to London and finally for the top six were chosen we waited
for a few days and then three learners were chosen to go to
London. On the 13th December we went to Bloemfontein for two
days and then we went back. On the 31st December we left south
Africa to Paris and from Paris to London we arrived at about
11 o clock.
THE TOUR OF LONDON
We waited our rooms to be given and then after that we went
shopping. The second day we went to Buckingham palace, Madame
Tussauds., the London Eye and to the Tower of London in the
first few days everything was nice and fine. We left the Cop
thorn Tara hotel we went to Thurrock hotel. The second day
we went to the campus it was really nice.
HOW I FOUND LONDON
London was very nice and it has a lot of interesting places
and historical places. My favorite place was Madame Tussauds
because it is beautiful inside and the chambers of horror
I liked them because they were scary and I would like to go
again.
