Mayflower Primary School
Citizenship Project

What does Citizenship mean to you?
Mayflower
School was one of the first to respond to our invitation to
young people all over the world to share this web space by
sending us their aspirations for citizenship. These six year
olds knew exactly what they wanted to say to us all. Well
done all of you.
We have included only a small selection of the posters that
the pupils produced - email the editor if you would like electronic
copies of the other posters.
Over to you ...
Don't let the excitement of using computers make you forget
the importance of 'traditional' methods for producing pictures
and posters. We think you'll agree that these lovely posters,
only one of which is electronic, are no less valid than the
electronic posters we have published from older children at
a school in Plymouth. You do need a good scanner to get them
into a web page, though, and as with all graphics on web sites,
you have to choose a balance between the size of the files
(and therefore the speed of downloading) and the quality of
the pictures on display.
