How good are you at learning new things?
Being able to learn new things can help you a lot. This page
shows ways that you can get better at learning new things by planning.
Some people find it easy to learn a new thing by simply reading a book. Others find it easier if
someone explains it to them personally.
To show how good you are at the these things, you have to show that you can:
- Work out how you are going to learn something new.
- Make a plan about how you are going to do the work and follow it. Do the most important things first.
- Improve the way you work by learning something new and do an activity.
- Check how the work looks and whether it is how you planned.
- Help set targets for learning something new.
- Take responsibility for your own learning, (don't wait for others to tell you to do things), using your plan and help from other people.
- Improve the way you work by studying a subject and do a practical activity.
- Check how you have done and show what you have done to others.
- Agree targets for learning something new and plan how you will get the work finished.
- Take responsibility for your own learning by using your plan and help from others.
- Improve your work by studying a difficult subject or working through a difficult practical
activity that involves independent (on your own) learning.
- Check progress twice. Show what you have learnt.
