Intergenerational

SEN-NET

SEN-NET, funded by the EU Tempus programme, was developed to create a network of senior citizens (sAGEs) throughout Europe. The main participants were in the Czech Republic,  England, Ireland, Portugal, Slovakia, Spain and Sweden.

As an extension of this project we are planning to extend intergenerational learning through the development of story telling by sAGEs. Our pilot project is this WordPress autobiography from Suet to Soufflé by Joyce Horlock who is 87 years old. Here’s a link to the site where the book is on sale

Step Back In Time

Here is a website showcasing the work of young people in a school enrichment activity. They interviewed older members of the community about their experiences and as well as on the site have produced a physical book of their findings published at the end of August 2017.

Click here to see the website.

The website features the sound recordings they made, a film of the project as it developed as well as the online version of the book.

As a taster here’s the book cover.
